Rugby, Cotswold, Stockholm & more

Updating this blog has realised how much we did manage to achieve last year.

September '07 was a busy month...

Scored tickets to the Australia v Wales Rugby World Cup match in Cardiff, courtesy of Will. It sparked off a great driving weekend, firstly to Cardiff to watch the game with Will and Ruth, and even stopping by to visit an old mine. It was a fantastic feeling to see the Aussies come up on top (at least for this match), and Prince Williams topped it off by waving to us (from his car)!

Spent the next day taking the Romantic Road around the Cotswold and up to Shakespeare's birthplace @ Stratford on Avon. It was very cool to drive through stoned villages with the quaint little town of Burton-on-the-Water among the highlights.
The following weekend was a relaxing one - pampering at The Sanctuary in Covent Garden for Alice's hens, followed by dinner (and delicious dessert) at the Living Room with the gals.
Squeezed in a last minute trip to Stockholm with Ken the next weekend. In short, it felt like a nice place but we were missing something...maybe we just didn't get our timing right.
  • Impressions: A city better visited during summer
  • Highlights: Steve Bloom exhibition
  • Lowlights: Never getting the timing right for meals
