Continued on the second leg of the trip from Norway down to Amalfi for some warmer weather. We covered the island of Capri and quaint towns of Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and Sorrento with a glipmse of Pompeii and Naples over a good 6 days.
- Impressions: Positano is as lovely as I remembered it; locals were very friendly; a lot of American tourists
- Highlights: Spotting Hayden Panettiere (cheerleader from Heroes) in Capri…especially for Alex; cute room at Relais Maresca in Capri; Surreal experience on NYE in Sorrento dodging firecrackers; delicious spaghetti marinas; home cooked meals and friendly service of the two old men who ran the Open Gate Hotel in Praiano
- Lowlights: Not having the flexibility of having a car; Local bus being too full and not stopping for us; Walking around Naples during the garbage strike
