Sarah & Gareth tie the knot

Weston Manor, Oxfordshire
28th March 2009

It was really nice to be there to celebrate Sarah & Gareth's special day. Especially after sharing all the wedding dress and ring shopping experience with Sarah. Gareth had to throw in a line in his speech about being disappointed to hear I got engaged a week before he was planning the proposal...but he pressed on and it all turned out wonderfully in the end!

Our second English wedding experience, and again what a lovely way to get married. A lazy start around lunch time, kicking off with a very personal ceremony...followed by drinks...leading into dinner, dancing and supper...held at an old converted manor, set against beautiful lawns and gardens in the English countryside, creating a fantastic setting...somewhere where the guests stay overnight and enjoy a champagne breakfast with the newlyweds. With everything taking place at the same location, its such a chilled out day with so much time to mingle and chat. Great take away for our big day is to avoid the gaps between ceremony and reception, and not to mention the manic experience of typical Asian Australian weddings.

Highlights of Sarah & Gareth's big day were the great bacon rolls they served for supper. Plus the band absolutely rocked!

Oh, I went a bit 'collage-happy' experimenting with all the cool effects in the new version of picasa....enjoy!
